Alexander County Government has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from Proposers interested in contracting with the County to provide comprehensive branding/re-branding design, development, and implementation services as specified in this RFP. The goal of this RFP is to help Alexander County select a qualified Marketing Firm who will assist the County with redeveloping its marketing strategy in order to attract and retain businesses, encourage better communication and engagement of County citizens, and promote overall economic development initiatives for the County. The selected firm will be tasked with first reviewing and auditing the County’s current marketing strategy, logos, and communication processes before engaging both internal and external stakeholders to develop suggestions for the development and implementation of a new, comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy.
Background
Alexander County currently utilizes a website, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter) as online platforms for community engagement and information sharing. The overall goal of the branding initiative is to seek ways to improve upon and expand those online outlets to better leverage current technology and communication platforms. County staff will work with the selected firm to audit current efforts and develop suggestions for areas for improvement. Deliverables may include website redesign to make information more accessible and navigation more intuitive for visitors, suggestions for ways to integrate online forms to capture and disseminate pertinent information for both internal and external users (examples include, but are not limited to, online submission of work orders for maintenance, scheduling of participants for classes offered by various County departments, online data request forms, and online “contact us” forms). The selected firm will also be tasked with redeveloping the County seal and logos for various County departments to bring a sense of standardization and cohesiveness to the County’s branding efforts among other goals, objectives, and deliverables noted in the Scope of Work section.
In evaluating proposals submitted in response to this RFP, staff will give consideration to firms who demonstrate a history of successful completion of similar rebranding campaigns in the public sector, particularly those with experience working with local government clients. Interested firms are encouraged to incorporate a portfolio of previous design work for similar campaigns as part of their submission.
The deadline for submissions is February 26 at 5:00 p.m.
