The Alexander County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) has studied the risk factors and needs of Juvenile Court-involved youths in Alexander County and has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for programs for fiscal year 2026-2027.
The JCPC anticipates receiving $140,199 from the NC Department of Public Safety to fund the program types specified below. Such programs will serve delinquent and at-risk youth for the state fiscal year 2026-2027 beginning on or after July 1, 2026. The use of these funds in this county requires a 30 percent local match.
Interested program providers may access the full Request for Proposals at https://bit.ly/26-27-jcpc-rfp.
The JCPC will consider proposals for the following needed programs: substance abuse assessment, substance abuse treatment, individual/group/family counseling, home-based family counseling, mediation/conflict resolution, restitution/community service, teen court, experiential skill building, life skills, mentoring, parent/family skill building, interpersonal skill building, tutoring/academic enhancement programs, and vocational development.
Proposed program services should target the following risk factors for delinquency or repeat delinquency: juveniles who associate with other negative/delinquent/gang-involved peers, parenting skills/family criminal history, mental health (substance abuse and victimization), school behavior problems/absences, and reduction in juvenile recidivism.
Local public agencies, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations, and housing authorities are invited to submit applications to provide services addressing the above elements.
To apply for FY 2026-2027 JCPC funding, agencies must complete and apply online by accessing NC ALLIES. Please read and follow all instructions at https://cp.ncdjjdp.org/CP/.
