Position: Social Worker II (Intake; Facilitation; Quality Assurance)
Salary Range: Grade 67 $33,129.75 – $46,811.47

Description of Work: This Social Worker II position will be responsible for three areas : 1) Adult Services and Child Protective Services Intake. 2) Facilitation of Child and Family Team Meetings in Child Protective Services 3) Quality Assurance for both Child Welfare and Adult Services.
Intake duties: This employee receives and processes referrals of adult and child maltreatment in a timely manner and according to law and standards established by State and County, in order that appropriate intervention can be initiated to protect children and vulnerable adults. The employee also provides excellent information and referral services to parents and community partners in an effort to prevent maltreatment.
Facilitation duties: This employee will facilitate and manage a full time schedule of Child and Family Team Meetings for child welfare staff. This position works jointly with child welfare staff to promote and engage families in early and ongoing involvement in decision-making that allows children to remain with or return safely to their family of origin. Fidelity to the CFT model is a primary focus of the position. This position involves meeting with social workers to prepare for and implement CFT’s in child welfare family assessments, family in-home, and foster care cases, and others areas as appropriate. This requires strong skills in planning, organizing, coaching, training, and tracking the activities of staff to carry out the functions and tasks developed in the meetings.
Quality Assurance Duties: This position will work to standardize, improve and sustain high quality service delivery across child welfare and adult services. This position will conduct thorough and comprehensive case reviews in accordance with rule/law/policy and best practice of child welfare and adult services in order to inform the Supervisor, Program Manager and Director of areas in need of growth and development. This position will help determine strengths and gaps in service delivery and training needs.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must complete 72 hours of pre-service training provided by the NC Division of Social Services.
