Position:Paramedic – Assistant Shift Supervisor- EMS Internal Posting
Salary Range:$39,380.96 – $55,644.27 Grade: 70

Description of Work: Employee works as part of a 2 man crew to provide professional advanced life support work in operating an approved mobile medical unit and performing advanced emergency care including the administration of life sustaining treatment to patients on-site and while en-route to a hospital. The duties of this position are to include direct supervision during the absence of the supervisor of 4 ambulance crews to include operations, direct patient care, inventory and stocking supplies, documentation, routine station task and other operational duties assigned by direct supervisor or director. Computer use for logging of ambulance trips, to complete PCR’s, and for QI/QM of shift PCR’s. Heavy lifting is regularly required. Work schedule is 24 hours on-duty/72 hours off-duty rotation schedule.
Education and Experience: Certification by North Carolina Office of EMS at the Paramedic Level. 5 years of field experience with an Advanced Life Support EMS Provider as a Paramedic. Must have held the position of Field Training Officer for Alexander County EMS. Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license and a good driving record.
Experience Preferred: 1 year of supervisory experience with a Advanced Life Support EMS Provider.
