An employee in this class will perform a variety of administrative functions. Work involves answering the phone and greeting the public. Monthly duties include preparing board agendas, packets, and minutes for all meetings. The employee will be required to attend all meetings to record and prepare complete and accurate minutes. Duties also include coordinating and directing office services such as records, budget preparation, organizational tasks, and assisting with various department projects or programs. This position works under the general supervision of the department head and the Board of Supervisors. The schedule is approximately 19-20 hours per week.
• Graduation from high school or GED.
• An associate’s degree in business administration, office management, or a related area of secretarial certificate is preferred.
• Some clerical experience and excellent computer skills is required.
• Valid NC driver’s license.
