Dr. Jeff Peal, Chairman of the Alexander County Board of Commissioners, presented the key, and said, “Russell has been a valued member of the Alexander County team, as he is an expert on most matters. In my opinion, you won’t find a better man.”
At the retirement reception, Greene was presented a North Carolina flag that was flown over the state capitol building on September 4, 2019, from Greg Atchley, Western Branch Manager for North Carolina Emergency Management.
