Position:Family Nurse Practitioner – 32 hours per week
Salary Range:$56,982 – $80,515(Grade 83)

Description of Work: Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Extender to work in all public health clinics including Maternal Health, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Disease, Child Health, Adult Health, and Primary Care
Education and Experience Required: Graduation from a Physician Assistant program approved by the NC Board of Medical Examiners and “approved to practice medical acts” based on education and experience by the Board of Medical Examiners, and two years of experience in the area of assignment; or graduation from an accredited Surgeon’s Assistant Program of at least 24 months duration and “approved to practice medical acts” based on education and experience by the Board of Medical Examiners, and 1 year of experience in the area of assignment; or licensed as a Registered Nurse by the NC Board of Nursing, graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the NC Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical examiners, “approved to practice medical acts” based on education and experience by the NC Joint Subcommittee and two years’ experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
