POSITION: Compliance/Procurement Specialist
SALARY RANGE: $49,180.14 – 69,490.25 Salary Grade: 75

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: An employee in this class performs professional duties in providing analysis and oversight to ensure compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance and grant specific requirements. Work involves serving as a resource for staff of grant funded programs for fiscal and programmatic compliance matters. This employee is the primary liaison between the funding agency and the unit performing work under the grant. Work involves good research, data management, and statistical analysis skills. Judgment is required in selecting and applying appropriate procedures and using a variety of policies and laws. This position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of Request for Quotes (RFQ), Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), and contract monitoring and administration. Work is performed under general supervision of the County Manager and is evaluated daily through observation, work completion, and conferences.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in public and/or business administration, or accounting or a related field; a minimum of five years of relative, applicable experience in administration, grants management and compliance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid NC Driver’s License is required.
